Light Management System (LMS) is an integrated set of products that are reliably networked. It enables in local and remote monitoring and control system. The products are non-intrusive and use wireless sensor networks to monitor and control a light module. The products enable easy integration with existing or new light modules for immediate operation.
Need for LMS
Power consumption by lighting varies between 20 - 25% of the total power.
Monthly lump-sum electricity bills.
Occupants have a little insight over their building environment.
The inability to control brightness is usually a big factor in energy wastage.
Poor management not only leads to inefficient usage but also increases the expense. LMS helps in analyzing the consumption pattern and thereby reducing the amount of usage and also better ROI.
Benefits of Wireless Lighting Management System
Tuning of light regulates the brightness of the lights, Set maximum light levels. Customizable as per the tasks and general ambience in a workspace.
Automatic dimming / switching lights in response to the available day light helps in Daylight harvesting. Adjusts indoor light levels according to natural light. Ensures minimum light level by making emergency lights ON and Non-critical lights OFF.
Turning ON the lights in response to the room occupancy results in more savings. Highly sensitive occupancy sensors detect even the small movements. If the room is unoccupied, lights turn off automatically.
Schedule when the lights should turn ON and OFF in any part of the building. All timings can be controlled straight from the dashboard.
Personal software control:
Turning ON / OFF the lighting loads right from the PC. Setting of level of light right from the dashboard.
ElMeasure provides world class solutions in Wireless Light Management Systems. The main objective to develop a lighting control system that is to reduce energy usage upto 75% using Lighting Management Strategies.
Lighting Control Unit (LCU) with Zigbee Module.
Gateway for data transfer.
Server – PC loaded with MS software.
ElMeasure’s Light Control Unit (LCU) will be connected to individual Light driver unit. LCU unit consist Zigbee module, which will transfer and receive the consumption data. This data will be sent to Gateway using which data transfer to Cloud based server.
The data will store in database with scan time. LMS will generate various reports using which consumption analysis and control corresponding light zone can be achieved.
Lighting Control Units (LCUs) fitted to light modules, connected to controller over zigbee networks.
Aggregator Gateway collects information from LCUs and sends to cloud based server over internet.
Web based application in the cloud provides monitoring, control and analytics of light modules.
Each Street light comprises of Lighting control unit (LCU) which is connected to the voltage input driver. The input driver acts as a voltage regulator i.e. it regulates the flow of voltage to the ballast which in turn controls the brightness of the LED lamp. The LCU has 10 programmable time slots for the Time scheduling, reducing the luminous level of the LED. Through LCU we can control and vary the flow of voltage to the voltage input driver which will results in reducing the intensity and energy consumption of the street light. Each LCU has an inbuilt Zigbee communication to send and receive the data/commands. Aggregator with inbuilt memory and GPRS Modem will be placed to collect all the data’s from the LCU and sends to Gateway through GPRS modem and to the server. Incase if the PC has been failed or any communication error we can retrieve the data from the Aggregator.
Intelligent savings calculator to keep a track of how much you’re saving of the bill.
Multi-platform dashboard to monitor and regulate lighting from your PC, tablet or mobile phone.
Data storage as well as time, day and event based activity in offline.
Regulation of lighting in the workspaces according to their preferences, right from their desktop.
Analytics for energy consumption, burn hours etc.
Regular reports via SMS and email.
10 different time slots in a day can be configured in Lighting Control Unit (LCMU).
Dimming of lights increases the life time.
Mitigating energy costs.
Control group of lights from a single user interface device.
Complex lighting scenes can be pre-set.
Longer lamp life.
To monitor Instance Device status Like ON/OFF, Dimming Level for the corresponding Lights, Energy consumption and Burn Hours for all the Lights in pictorial and graphical chart.
Control zones and Device Status:
Each light will be controlled (ON and OFF) and user will be able to adjust the brightness in percentage, this process we can do country wise, region wise and location wise also.
Provision to choose parameter and one or more lights to check the consumption value in graph view.
Energy details based on region or zone wise for multiple loads.
Lighting Schedule will be set to weekly for corresponding lights to control the set time. This can do single light or bulk lights also.
Device configuration and User configuration Settings:
